Meet Shawna Oliver & Paula Buburuz
Shawna and Paula are two best friends from Fort St. John. They love that Fort St. John has such a strong sense of community and has been so supportive and encouraging.
In 2013, the friends stepped into entrepreneurship together and opened Rustic Country Decor. Shawna and Paula compliment each other well, where one is weak the other excels and together they make a great business team. As store owners and operators, they genuinely appreciate their time together doing what they love. Shawna and Paula are dedicated to tracking down the latest products and sourcing new suppliers for their store's high quality and unique home decor. Rustic Country Decor started out small and through community support, and their hard work, they have recently expanded their store and doubled their floor space. They are grateful to their customers and to the community of Fort St. John for supporting their business and enabling the store's growth. Rustic Country Decor gives back to their community by donating gift baskets or gift certificates to support a variety of local causes and community events.
When they are not busy at work they enjoy spending time with their families. They are both moms of young ones, with daughters in cheerleading and a son in hockey, Shawna and Paula spend a lot of time at local recreation facilities and on the road to competitions and tournaments. They enjoy owning their own business for the flexibility it allows.
