Harvest Wine Outfitters Inc.

A few years ago, Annamari Miles was a stay-at-home mom with a desire to get back into the workforce. With growing children, she wanted to create an opportunity where the whole family could work together. Joined by her husband Tom, they are the successful new owners of Harvest Wine Outfitters. Annamari is thankful for the ability to develop and implement her creative visions. “I like being able to use my mind, my ideas and see their value.”

The husband and wife team are lifelong residents of Fort St. John and are committed to staying. “We were born and raised here,” said Annamari. “We aren't leaving; we feel like we belong to this community, it’s our home. We are truly proud of how much our business has grown and improved over the last year and a half.” Believing that small town businesses come with unique benefits, they love getting to know their customers."I love that by doing business in our town, I can boost our economic strength," says Annamari. The duo is mindful of the impact certain industries can have on their economy, causing boom and bust cycles. With businesses closing, they encourage other tenacious entrepreneurs to start up in Fort St. John. “We need strong small businesses that can survive the ups and downs.”

Annamari and Tom show their support by frequenting many Fort St. John businesses. A few of their favourites are Party Town Supplies, Homesteader Health Foods Ltd., Good 2 Go Shoes, Butcher Block, MC Rehab, Coach Barbers, Pos Family Chriopractic, Dunvegan Gardens, SJ Promo, Freedom Physiotherapy and K-Mac Signs.

When Annamari has free time, she spends it on two things: family and studying the past. She admits genealogy has become a favourite hobby of hers and states that she is fond of the local museum due to the amount of local history displayed there.
