Meet Kerry France

Kerry is the Director of Library Services at the Fort St. John Public Library (FSJPL). The Fort St. John Public Library Association is governed by a board of volunteer trustees and was started in 1950. Their volunteer board and library staff ensure the public library continues to be an active part of the community culture in Fort St. John.

Kerry loves working with the library in Fort St. John. "As a Director, I am most proud of the Fort St. John Public Library staff," said Kerry, "our library team is committed to providing the best possible experience for our patrons." The library's tagline is "My Community, My Connection, My FSJPL."

The library works to enrich lives and inspire discovery in a welcoming and safe environment. "The FSJPL connects people with ideas, information, our community and one another," said Director Kerry France.

One of the significant advantages to operating in a smaller centre is that the library is able to adapt to the community's needs. "Doing business in a small town allows us to really get to know our patrons and our community and we can tailor our services to them," explained Kerry. Fort St. John is a full of great community members who play an active part in keeping their hometown vibrant and the library is happy to be there for them.
