Old is the New New is a consignment boutique full of very gently used and top quality clothing, footwear and accessories. The store is also a hair salon for women, providing professional cuts, colour and styles. “It’s a complete shopping experience,” said Renea, ” we encourage women to indulge themselves and have a little ‘me time.'”
The downtown store is bright and beautiful and jam-packed with attractive wares. Brand name clothing and footwear line the racks and gorgeous handbags and eye-catching jewelry adorn the shelves.
Renea wants her salon clients and boutique customers to leave feeling refreshed, happy and sexy. “With Old is the New New, my hope was to have customers walk in and instantly feel comfortable and engage in personal conversation,” said Renea, “and I believe we have achieved that!”

Renea was born and raised in Fort St. John and is pleased to have opened up her store, Old is the New New, in her hometown. She appreciates the slower pace of life in Fort St. John and the sense of support she feels from her family, friends and the business community.
In 2015, Renea renovated a space downtown for her consignment clothing and hair salon business. With the help of family and friends, Renea worked around the clock to open her doors. "I believe the hard work paid off," said Renea. Like other successful entrepreneurs she knows you get back results equal to the efforts you put in. "I believe if you put your heart and energy into the right areas of your business you can't go wrong," said Renea. Old is the New New has a positive, supportive atmosphere and Renea is really proud of that.
Renea happily brings her young daughter to work with her every day. "I was able to create her own space in the store," said Renea, "she has adjusted so well and is one of the main attractions to all the customers." Renea is grateful that she works with women who appreciate and admire the fact that her young one is with her and is so at home in her workplace.
