Meet Lori Lockhart
Lori has called Fort St. John home for 20 years and became an entrepreneur in 2015 by opening Fragrant Body and Mind Aromatherapy. “I decided to pursue my dream and Fort St. John seemed to be the most likely choice not only because most of my family is here, but also because it’s growing and there’s great opportunity here,” explained Lori. She enjoys being her own boss and doing what she is most passionate about. The fulfillment, the freedom and the flexibility of owning and operating her own business are big rewards for Lori.
One of Lori’s favourite local spots is the Farmers Market. “It’s a great place where local people and business owners can exhibit their talents and skills and share them with the rest of the community,” said Lori. “There are a lot of creative talented people in our community and this is a great place to connect with them.”
Lori believes Fort St. John is a growing community where the people are friendly and there are lots of opportunity to create a better life. “It’s not as fast paced as city life, the commuting is easy and not stressful and there is a sense of community where people are supportive of one another.” She acknowledges that Fort St. John is a great place to be active year round both outdoors on the great walking trails and indoors on the walking track.
Creative. Supportive. Relaxing.
Lori enjoys being able to connect with people who genuinely care about their health and well being. “At Fragrant Body and Mind Aromatherapy, I assist clients in creating healthier choices,” explained Lori, “by providing toxic-free alternatives to the chemical based personal care products we are exposed to on a daily bases that can potentially harm us.”
Lori is an herbalist and aromatherapist who provides natural homemade skin and body care products and provides personal consultations. Fragrant Mind and Body has a variety of high quality natural face creams, body care creams, body butters, healing salves, bath salts and soaps.
